Holloween Cake Pops

Adorable Halloween Cake Pops!  Witches $2.50; Pumpkins and Ghosts $2.00.  Ghost Pumpkins $3.00  I love using the mint chocolate for the witches, it ads so much more yummy flavor!  The witches hair, I used gum paste, but usually the black licorice "wheels" work the best, but I couldn't find any.  The hat is an Oreo with dark chocolate Hershey kiss, and the nose is a tic tac!

My favorite witch!

Mr. ghost is not pleased....

I love the ghost on the far right "d'oh!"

yeah yeah....he looks like the has braces.

These cupcakes were really awesome!  I made the ghost body from two mini reeses ups and put fondant over them.  And the pumpkin is a whopper with gum paste wrapped around.

Impromptu Baby Shower for twins

So I got an order for an impromptu baby shower for twins, a boy and a girl.  It was held at a morning woman's business meeting.... at 7:30 in the morning...so she didn't want anything too sweet...lol. How can you do that?  So I made berry cupcakes, with real mixed berries and whipped icing for the frosting.  Little pink for the girl with fondant flowers and blue with fondant baseball bats and ball.  Both have a dark chocolate drizzle.  They were so yummy!

Camp Fire cake, 1/2 sheet

Camp fire cake.  Vanilla cake with Chocolate mousse filling

little fishies in the river!

camp fire, stones and all.  Proportionally its more like a bonfire.

"eco" cake, sorry for bad placement pictures

As i said, this was for my sister for her birthday.  I had 4 cakes to make, so if it had been a customer it would would have looked perfect! It tasted really good!
Chocolate Cake with strawberry whipped cream frosting and real strawberries.

Beown sugar for sand, pretzels for trunks, sugar cones for trees.

I had the birthday girls son (5 yrs old) come and draw with edible pens on gumpaste of sea creatures and animals, then i cut them out and put them on the cake.

1/2 sheet Wizards of Waverly Place spell book $60.00

This cake was really awesome.  Layer of vanilla cake, layer of mint chip, layer of white.  it was about 1/2 a foot thick and a 1/2 sheet.  $60.00

Ice cream cake! Vanilla cake with mint chip ice cream, COVERED in chocolate ganache! I'm sure it tasted AWESOME!

So I had to watch a bit of the shows and movie to really find items that stuck out to me, of course the spell book.

I was really happy that it actually looked like a book! The wand is the character Alex's wand. The necklace is the stone of wishes from the movie, and the weird thing is the "mind reading" device that is in one of the episodes. In the show, it was literally made out of a toliet paper roll, macaroni, jewels, and glitter.  I made all the three props out of gum paste, pretty good, huh?

glittery gold!  I was really happy with this cake!

My first fondant cake and my first topsy turvy cake...i don't know what i was thinking

This was my first ever fondant cake AND Topsy turvy cake.  I guess I'm a wee bit crazy to try both at the same time.  I still had fun with it, and i'll only improve.  Keep in mind this was for a family member too...they are my little experiments, lol!

The start of my Topsy Turvy rainbow cake
 Pretty Colors!!

Like, i said, my first one!  So i guess it's not too bad.  I'll get better!
From like 7 feet away it looked pretty much perfect, too bad i didn't take any pictures from the far away.
Pretty rainbow! Vanilla cake with homemade cream cheese frosting.  It was a huge hit with the family!
